I am a writer. What do I write? I'm glad you asked. I thought I wanted to be a famous novelist, so I co-authored Children of the Lost Moon with my sister, Tessa. We self published on Amazon and we did fairly well for a couple of months in sales. Did we make a lot of money? Nope. Did we become famous? No, but we had a really good time.
Then I got the bright idea I wanted to write a screenplay. Why would I want to write a screenplay? Insanity comes to mind.
I've been making up movies in my head since I was a kid. Movies are my thing. I love them. They whisk me away to places I've only dreamed of, and connect me to characters I'll never forget.
My first attempt at writing a screenplay was for the 2013 Action Film Challenge. I wrote the screenplay, Duplicity, and my brother, Jack, produced it. We won audience favorite! You can see the nine minute film on IMDb at http://tinyurl.com/kllppme. Hopefully someday I will have many more films on IMDb to share with you.
In the meantime, let's talk movies. Are you writing a screenplay? Are you doing any acting, filming, directing? Or, if you just want to talk about your favorite movies, I'm all ears (well in this case, eyes).
I've subscribed to your blog. I want to stay updated on your screenplay-writing activities!
